Before people on your team can sign in and use your organisation's learning platform and all interfaces (such as I learn, I coach, I organise, or I create), they need a user account. The easiest way to add user accounts is to add them through your admin console on 'I organise'. 🏕️
Summary:
1. How to invite a new user?
Go to your 'I organise' interface and to the 'Users' page.
To invite your first-time users, click the 'Add a user' button on the upper right.
Now you have 3 ways to choose from:
A. Fast invitation: Invite one or several learners to fast-track their onboarding
B. Standard invitation: Set up user's personal data, roles, access rights, and customise their onboarding course
C. Import users: Upload the list of your users via .csv or .xslx file

A. Fast invitation
Invite one or several learners fast and easy (this option is only to give access to 'I learn'). 🚀
Step 1: Fill in the information about your user:

Email address(es)

Select the Camp access on 'I learn'

Assign a branding
-
Select the interface language

Step 2: Choose the type of email notification the user will receive as an invite to sign up to the platform:
-
Automatic: users will receive an email notification (non-editable) once they have been added
-
Customised: you can write your own invitation email for the new users
-
None: the user will not be notified when added. Use this one, for example, when you still want to set up your training space and it's not ready for your users yet.

🤓 Good to know: You can switch to Standard invitation if you want to set up more advanced settings. Simply click on the button on the upper right.
Step 3: Click on 'Invite' at the bottom of the page to add your users.

B. Standard invitation
Invite one user and set up their access rights, roles and create a custom onboarding. With this option, you can give access to all interfaces (I learn, I coach, I create, I organise). 🧑💻
1. Personal data
Step 1: Fill in the personal data about your user:

Email address
-
Name (only capitalise the first letter)
-
First name (only capitalise the first letter)
-
Job title or role: e.g. Product Designer, HR manager, Team Lead...
-
Manager: Select this user's manager for the learning space
Click 'Continue'.

2. Roles & Accesses
Step 2: Assign roles and accesses to the interfaces for this user. Access can be given to a minimum of 1 interface and to a maximum of all 4 interfaces.

I learn
Select the Camp access
I organise
Decide if this user should be a super-administrator, and for which camp. A super-administrator is a user who has complete access to all interfaces, courses, communities, camps, users, integrations with providers and tools, statistics and reports on the platform.

I create
Select whether this user should be able to create
-
Private and guest content, OR
-
Private, guest and company content

I coach
Select the courses and training where this user becomes the trainer. Trainers organise, manage and follow training (from preparation to monitoring) for every learner or for whole teams.

Set the start and end date of access for this user. If you leave the end date empty, this user has unlimited access to the platform.
Click 'Continue'.

3. Settings
Step 3: Set all interface settings here

Interface language: this is the language in which the interface is shown

Languages taught: this is the language that is taught to this user

Branding: Assign a branding

Skills: Select the skills this user has

Choose the type of email notification the user will receive as an invite to sign up to the platform:

None: the user will not be notified when added. Use this one, for example, when you still want to set up your training space and it's not ready for your users yet.

Click 'Continue'.

4. Onboarding
Custom onboarding is highly flexible – add any content you want or even create your own! 🙌
Actively guide your new user through the platform and selected content (courses, or learning paths) for their onboarding. The user has to finish this onboarding content first before getting access to the rest of the platform.
❗️ Important: Once you select an onboarding content, it's irreversible. The user has to complete the selected content successfully. The platform is not accessible to the user until it’s completed. That means, the user does not have access to the catalogue, dashboard, and the rest of your content that you assign to them in the meanwhile.
Step 1: Select content from the list below. You can only choose 1 content for the onboarding. If you want to have a longer onboarding containing multiple courses, activities and multimedia, then select or create a learning path.

Step 2: For internal content, you may have to choose one suitable session. Select 'Validate'.

5. Summary
Here's a summary of the invitation of this user. Review and then click 'Invite'. You can also keep the same settings for the next invite by checking the box at the bottom.

C. Import users
You can sync your current user's list from your HR tool and import users by uploading a .csv or .xslx file. This is for users that get access to 'I learn' only. 📁
Step 1: Download an example spreadsheet here that includes the required column headers. You can use this file to create your own user's list.
Step 2: When you're done, upload your user's list.
Step 3: Fill out the following fields and information:

Select the Camp access on 'I learn'

Assign a branding

Choose the type of email notification the user will receive as an invite to sign up to the platform:

Step 4: Decide whether or not these users should complete onboarding content before getting started. If you click on 'Yes' and 'Continue' a new page will open.

Select content from the list below. You can only choose 1 content for the onboarding. If you want to have a longer onboarding containing multiple courses, activities and multimedia, then select or create a learning path.

For internal content, you may have to choose one suitable session. Select 'Validate'.

2. How to relaunch email invitations to users?
The users that you added to the learning space have not yet created their account? Here's how you can send an email to invite them again to the learning space. 📫

There 2 options:

Send an invitation email (automatic or customised)
-
Send a registration reminder email from the myskillcamp platform

3. What about password management?
Once the user has agreed to join your training space, you will then be able to:
-
assign them an automatic password (the user cannot change it)
-
allow users to change their password at the first login
❗ Note: We usually don’t recommend the first solution as the user could forget such a password.
