Bookboon, Coursera, Openclassrooms,...and many more: Myskillcamp's partners offer thousands of hours of learning content together. You might not need all of them in your learning space. You might want to publish specific content from chosen categories and languages into the learners' catalogue. 🎯
Thanks to this feature you can:
-
Mix & match categories from providers with the skills of your skill centre.
-
Filter or manually select the content.
-
Decide which skills and languages will be published into the learners' catalogue.
-
Make the catalogue cleaner and better to improve your learner's experience.

In this article, we're going to cover:
1. What is skills matching?
Let's say you wish to integrate one of our external content providers like Coursera. Coursera offers more than 5,100 courses. As you might not need all 5,100 courses, you can choose the content that gets published in your learners' catalogue.
Coursera has courses that are grouped into the category 'Information Technology'. You might call your category different, such as 'Technology' or 'IT'. With the skills matching feature, you can link one or more skills together. This means similar skills can be found within the same category in the catalogue.
In this way, you ensure a smooth learner experience! 🙌

2. What are catalogue rules?
With the catalogue rules, you can choose where and which content from the external provider will be published. 🎯
Here's what's possible:
-
Publish the complete provider's catalogue, in all languages.
-
Publish selected (sub)categories & languages.
-
Publish only a few selected courses from the provider's catalogue.
Example:
Let's say you only want French courses about Javascript from the main category 'IT'. This would be your publication rule:
-
Language: French
-
Main category: IT
-
Sub-category: Javascript
You can decide to apply this rule to either your whole company or in one or more camps. It's also possible to exclude content that you don't want to add to the catalogue.
