Summary:
How to configure your custom Sender Email address
Note: Myskillcamp uses Postmark as a 3rd party service to manage the sending of emails. This provides a GDPR-proof, robust and guaranteed delivery of emails when configured correctly.
Part 1: add and confirm the new custom sender address
Step 1: Go to your "I organise" interface and to the 'Branding' page. Choose one of your existing brandings or create a new one.

Step 2: Go to “Custom email address”, select “Create an address”.
If you are not able to add an email address, please contact your sales representative or our Support team

Step 3: Add the Sender’s name. This will be the name that your users will see in their email clients as sender
Step 4: Add the Email address

-
This will be the email address that your users will receive the email from
-
It is essential that you can edit the DNS records for the domain that you will be sending from. Contact your System Administrator if you are unsure whether this is the case.
-
i.e. learning@nameofthecompany.com → I need to be able to edit the DNS records for “nameofthecompany.com”
-
Otherwise we will not be able to ensure the email to be so-called “DKIM validated” and it being marked as SPAM by most email clients.
-
-
After you submitted your name and email, you will receive a confirmation email by Postmark Support. This is normal as Postmark is the service that myskillcamp uses to send emails on your company’s behalf. Open the email and tap “confirm sender signature”.
Step 5: Now that the email address is confirmed, return to the overview page and view the details of your newly added address by tapping “” on the item

Step 6: If the status still indicates it hasn’t been verified, try tapping the “refresh” button. The status should now indicate that the email has been verified.

-
The email is not activated yet unless you configure your DNS server first.
-
This step can not be skipped because the email would otherwise end up in the SPAM folder of your recipients.
-
___________
Part 2: adding a DKIM record to your domain’s DNS
To activate the email, you need to edit the DNS settings of your domain provider ((e.g. Cloudflare, GoDaddy, OVH, Google). If you’re unsure on how to do this, involve your system administrator or your IT team from this point on.
TXT record
-
Log in to your domain provider account. On your domain provider’s configuration panel: go to the DNS settings and add a new TXT record
-
Copy the host from the myskillcamp page and paste it into "Name"
-
Copy the value from the myskillcamp page and paste it into "Click to configure"
-
Save the new TXT record in your DNS settings

CNAME record
-
Add a new CNAME record
-
Insert "pm-bounces" as the host into "Name"
-
Insert "pm.mtasv.net" as the value into "Target"
-
Save the new CNAME record in your DNS settings

Step 3: Go back to the myskillcamp settings in “I organise” Branding custom email address. Go to the email address you recently added.

Step 4: Tap the “refresh” button below at the bottom of the page.
❗️ Note: DNS settings can take a while to propagate. It’s how DNS works unfortunately. Check back in a few hours (for some domain providers even days sadly).

Step 5: Tapping refresh should ultimately result in a successful DKIM configuration, a green status appears. After that you can proceed to tap “Activate” to start using the new email sender address.
