This article explores the subject in detail. It is addressed to all myskillcamp users as well as the IT people who work for the companies using this e-learning platform.

1. Material conditions

Check whether the basic material conditions are met: set your computer screen resolution to a minimum of 1280 by 720 pixels and make sure that you have 512 Mo of random-access memory (RAM).

_____

2. Web browser

Ensure that your web browser is compatible with our platform. Myskillcamp recommends the use of Chrome.

  • Google Chrome (on the latest stable versions only)

  • Safari (on the latest stable versions only)

  • Microsoft Edge (on the latest stable versions only)

  • Mozilla Firefox (on the latest stable versions only)

Even though myskillcamp supports Internet Explorer 11, this browser shows limited compatibility with the latest web standards. As a result, user experience can be affected. Microsoft itself encourages users to use Microsoft Edge.

Important note : you may encounter anomalies with your browser if you use a custom URL on Apple devices. We are actively working on the implementation of a long-term solution. In the meantime, here are our recommendations:

  • Mac users:

=> Go to app.myskillcamp.com on Chrome or Safari.

=> Go to your custom URL on Chrome.

=> Go to your custom URL on Safari. In this case, all your users have to allow third-party cookies and you should notify us so that we can set up an iFrame configuration on our side. This solution either applies to all your users or none of them.

  • iPhone and iPad users:

=> Go to app.myskillcamp.com on Chrome or Safari.

=> Go to your custom URL on Safari. In this case, all your users have to allow third-party cookies and you should notify us so that we can set up an iFrame configuration on our side. This solution either applies to all your users or none of them.

3. Operating systems

As long as the browser is compatible with the use of myskillcamp, you can use the operating system of your choice.

  • Linux (all versions)

  • Windows (7 and above)

  • MacOs (10.9 and above)

  • iOS (11 and above)

  • Android (7.0 and above)

  • ChromeOS (all versions)

_____

4. Devices

As long as the browser is compatible with the use of myskillcamp, you can use the device of your choice.

The ‘I learn’ interface is responsive on devices with a minimal screen resolution of 375px x 667px.

The three other interfaces (‘I organise’, ‘I coach’ and ‘I create’) are responsive on desktop/laptop, with higher minimum screen resolution requirements (at least 1280px x 720px).

_____

5. Internet connection

The recommended minimum bandwidth is 512 Kbit/s for all uses, except video streaming.

When there is media content: a minimum, stable bandwidth of 2 Mbps is required. The quality of the media stream will be affected. 5 Mbps should offer a good quality.

We recommend that corporate executives run bandwidth tests to make sure that users are able to use the platform under the best possible conditions - taking due account of the nature and size of the pedagogical content involved.

_____

6. E-mail exchanges

Myskillcamp sends notification e-mails to its users. In order to receive those notifications, it is necessary to add the e-mail address notification@myskillcamp.com to your client’s white list or any other app of the company that filters those e-mails. Other e-mail addresses can also be used, such as support@myskillcamp.com or privacy@myskillcamp.com. It is therefore recommended to whitelist the whole @myskillcamp.com domain.

Depending on the type of filters used by your company, it can also be necessary to authorize the IP address ranges that spread those e-mails. Those are:

  • 87.253.233.100 to 87.253.233.250

  • 87.253.234.100 to 87.253.234.250

  • 87.253.238.217 to 87.253.238.224

  • 185.189.236.11 to 185.189.236.52

The prefixes are 87.253.232.0/21 and 185.189.236.0/22. The hostname (for the return path) is bnc3.mailjet.com.
